Rose Petal (Rosa centifolia) and Lavender (Lavandula hybrida) Infusion
The Damask rose (Rosa damascena, from the plant family Rosaceae) grows across Bulgaria, Turkey, Russia, India and China. It is a deciduous shrub with thorns and leathery leaves, followed by fragrant flowers.
Roses are grown all over the globe. They are native to the temperate regions of Northern hemisphere, primarily to Asia, with some species being native to Northwest Africa, Europe and Northern America.
Roses are calming and suited to dry or mature skins.
There are about 25-30 different species of lavender belonging to the Labiatae family and we only use a few of these. French lavender oil (Lavandula augustifoliaangustifolia) comes from Provence. Lavandin Lavendin oil (Lavandula hybrida) comes from a hybrid plant, developed by crossing true lavender and lavender spike.
Lavender is often used to calm the mind, aid restful sleep and as a relaxing oil.
