Rosewood Oil is extracted from Aniba rosaeodore. The tree is part of the Lauraceae family and a native of Brazil. It is an evergreen and can grow to be 125 feet tall.

Rosewood oil is known in perfumery as bois-de-rose oil and is used in soaps.

The oil is obtained from the tree’s wood chippings by steam distillation.

Rosewood oil is colorless, but has a spicy, sweet and woody aroma.

It is said to be antidepressant, antiseptic and bactericidal.

We use rosewood oil in our Avobath Bath Bomb for its earthy and uplifting aroma.

Our Coalface cleanser and The Sacred Truth Fresh Face Mask contain rosewood oil for its antiseptic properties, ensuring a fresh and clean skin.
