Seaweed Absolute (Fucus vesiculosus)

Seaweed absolute comes from the plant Fucus vesiculosus.

It is extracted by solvent extraction.

This absolute is a deep green or greenish brown liquid of intensely green, herbaceous and woody odour. Seaweed absolute distinctly recalls the smell of seaweed drying on a salt-water beach after a heavy storm.

Seaweed absolute is used in perfumery when marine or seashore fragrances are required.

Focus Fucus vesiculosus originates from France and is usually found on rocky shores.

It has been used for years in medicine for its anti-inflammatory and soothing properties. It is rich in vitamins and minerals, including vitamin A, C and E.

Our Big Blue Bath Bomb and BB Seaweed fresh face mask contain seaweed absolute for its ability to calm the skin.

We use seaweed absolute in our Sea Vegetable soap to nourish and protect sensitive skins.
