Why do I have to subscribe to LUSH e-news to participate in the scavenger hunt?
LUSH e-news is a valuable source of information about LUSH products and how to use them as well as new product announcements, special promos and contests like this one. You are only required to be subscribed during the month of November. You can easily opt out any time thereafter if LUSH e-news is not right for you. Privacy Policy.

I think I’m subscribed to LUSH e-news, but I’m not sure. How do I find out?
We suggest you go through the subscription process. If the system does not permit you to complete the process, this means your email address is already in the system. You can update your email address and other data in the My Account section of the website (once you log in using your email address and password). Forgot your password? No problem! Just click on the Forgot Your Password link to set a new one.

What’s a URL?
URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator. This is an address that specifies the location of a file on the internet (e.g. http://www.lushusa.com). A URL is the information that appears in the top window area of your browser (like Internet Explorer or Firefox). Each page on a website has a unique URL.

How do I copy and paste a URL?
With your mouse, select (highlight) all the information in the entire URL from the address window at the top of the webpage. Choose Edit-Copy from the File menu then navigate to the contest entry page and click inside the designated URL entry box and choose File-Paste. If this does not work for you, you can choose to type in the entire address in the designated URL box (be sure to include every character).

I missed the beginning of the contest. Can I still enter?
Yes, you can enter at any time - the contest is live from noon PST November 3rd through 11:59 am PST Saturday, November 15th. You can enter a maximum of 10 times during this period. More entries, more chances to win. A new challenge will be posted every weekday at noon(ish) Pacific Time. The contest is running for 10 weekdays starting at noon on Monday, November 3rd and the last challenge will be posted at noon on Friday, November 14th.

This looks like a weekday only contest. What happens on the weekend?
While a new challenge will not be posted on Saturday, November 8th or Sunday, November 9th, you can still submit a response to Friday’s challenge, if not already submitted. On Saturday, November 15th, you can participate until 11:59 am (the final cut off for answering Friday’s challenge).

Can I go back and pursue any previous challenges or catch up?
No, you can only respond to the current challenge as displayed on the website. There will be no “catch up” or “make up” opportunities for any missed challenges. However, you can still earn extra entries by encouraging new-to-LUSH friends and associates to participate and enter your email address. For every 5 times a new-to-LUSH person uses you as a referral, you get an extra entry.

What does “new to LUSH” mean when referring a friend?
For the purposes of this contest, a “new-to-LUSH” person is one who has never made an online purchase and/or is not a current or past subscriber to LUSH e-news or LUSH Times or any shop mailing lists. We will validate someone is new to LUSH when they opt in to LUSH e-news. We will also be using a variety of fraud detection methods to validate someone is truly new to LUSH. (Our tech team loves this kind of challenge). Please, no scamming...

How many friends and associates do I have to refer to earn an extra entry?
It could be one friend who enters 5 times; or 5 friends who enter one time each. Basically, for every 5 times a valid “new-to-LUSH” entry legitimately contains your email address, we will automatically provide you with one extra contest entry.

Is there a limit to how many extra entries I can earn?
Yes. You can earn a maximum of 10 extra contest entries. This is accomplished by generating at least 50 valid referrals that contain your email address. This must be the same email address you used to enter the contest yourself. These 50 referrals can come in variety of possible combinations. An example might be five different people entering 10 times each or as many as 50 people entering one time each. Fraudulent entries will be disqualified immediately.

How do I know I’ve found the right page?
You will find an illustration of a magnifying glass (similar to the one in the contest logo) on the page that has the correct response to the daily Challenge. This way, you will know you have the right page URL to enter the contest.

How does the gift card prize work?
To ensure the security of winner’s prize, we will mail him/her a physical LUSH Gift Card that is not yet activated. This prize will only be mailed to the address provided on the entry form. When received, the winner will then contact a designated contest representative (as indicated in a cover letter with full instructions) and request activation. The card will then be loaded with the full $1,000 prize value.

Can I only use the gift card prize online?
No, you can use it online, over the phone (through Customer Care), or in any participating LUSH retail location. Unfortunately, LUSH gift cards are not accepted at LUSH stores located within Macy’s.

I see the contest is running on both the Canadian and US websites. Is there just one prize or two?
There are a total of 2 prizes for our English language websites. One $1,000 prize for participants on the Canada website at www.lush.ca (excluding Quebec) and another $1,000 prize for participants on the US website at www.lushusa.com. There is also a separate contest in Quebec (due to significant differences in contest laws) at www.lush.ca/chasseautresor.

Is my private information secure?
All participants’ information is completely safe and will not be shared or sold to any third party.
