I bought this at the same time as Dream Cream and this actually seems like a more emollient product. It also lasts longer on the skin. It is thicker. That does not necessarily mean it's better, but if you're looking for the oilier product, Smitten is it. It therefore would probably not be as good for eczema as Dream Cream is. The fragrance is definitely almond. It's not one of my favorite, but it's all right. It should not overwhelm any other scents you use. Like Dream Cream, it's not strong with perfumes.

I love this lotion and will continue to buy it and use it with my Snowcake soap (which I buy in bulk in December and keep in my fridge all year). I. LOVE. IT. The smell puts me in a good mood. That's how good I think it smells. It's my happy lotion. Occasionally, I use it on my face before bed so I can smell it all night.

Having said that, there are certain family members that think it smells like a diaper. No kidding. Bummer.

This is the best hand lotion I've used! I love, love, love it. LUSH, PLEASE DON'T DISCONTINUE IT!!!!!!!!!!! It smells wonderful and moisturizes really well. If you don't use too much it absorbs quickly and doesn't leave behind a residue. Works great for a cuticle moisturizer, too. This lotion turns my dry, cracking winter hands soft and supple. I keep a jar at home and at my desk at work so that I can apply it after I wash my hands through out the day. I've used Handy Gurgu, which I also like, but it takes longer to absorb and leaves a bit of a residue behind. This is my #1 go to hand lotion; so again, LUSH, PLEASE DON'T DISCONTINUE IT!! I won't die, but I'll be very, very, very sad!

This really is heaven in a jar. I'm really hoping you bring this product back!! Nothing, and i repeat nothing, works as fabulous as Smitten does! I love love the smell and the feel of it. This product worked miracles on my fingers. They cracked open and bled about everyday, but with using smitten, it stopped the cracking drastically. Please Please bring it back so my fingers feel like they were touched by angels again. Thanks so much

I got a chance to try smitten as a sample. It is FANTASTIC. The wonderful almond smell lingers and is heavenly. The moisturization lasts all day and feel so soft and keeps hands comfortable feeling. I work at place where I have to wash my hands often and this is a really great find!

I got this product in the small pump bottle form, and I don't know if the smell differs from the container version, but it just smells awful to me. Stale playdoh is about the closest thing I can liken the smell to. I tried really hard to imagine almond icing when smelling this, but it's just not happening. On the other hand it's very moisterizing and not too heavy on my skin. But I just can't get past the smell and honestly wouldn't want to walk around smelling like playdoh.

I got this as part of a gift for Christmas. I am so in love with this lotion. It has a nice, light scent, very refreshing. Moisturizes well. From some of the reviews I have read, I am hearing that it is retiring...I sure hope not!!!!! I love, love, love it!!!!

I see a lot of comments saying this stuff smells 'like playdoh' and I think I've figured it out! I got a pump bottle of Smitten in a gift box and on first use, it had some trouble pumping out. It moisturized really well but, as the other users mentioned, it smelled off. However, I went back a while later and pulled the nozzle out to take a look at the stuff, and figure out why I couldn't get it pumping - The oils had separated! All that almond and chamomile goodness was floating on top, leaving just the playdoh scented goop at the bottom where the pump was drawing! After warming it between my hands and some vigorous shaking, I pumped a little more out and voila! Almond scented joy.

This rich lotion is really great for rough dry skin- hands, feet, knees and elbows. It's a bit heavy at first but absorbs after a few minutes and my skin stays soft for awhile. I prefer this over the the massage bars which tend to be greasier. The scent is a light creamy almond scent. It is less intense sent than most of the other lotions and matches the Snow Cake soap scent. I recommend applying to feet before bed for soft skin in the morning. So sad this will be going soon, and I hope it will be brought back in Retro.

I have to say that I love the smell, it's very light and sweet. I also have pretty dry skin, and travel back and forth from Michigan to Denver, I don't think my skin knows what's going on half the time. It's not greasy, and lasts. I went into lush today, and I'm so sad to hear it's being discontinued! (please don't do this LUSH!)

This is an amazing product, both my mother and I love using it! It's pretty much perfect except for one thing- it's a tad greasy, you can't just slather it on like regular lotion/moisturizers. I've even had to go and wash it off a few times. But if you look on the bright side, you won't have to use very much, so that little tub will last you a LONG time. I've had mine since this past Christmas and it's not even half empty!

I love the smell of almond, so Smitten has the perfect scent for me. This moisturizer lasted a LONG time since I only used a small dab at a time. (It actually lasted beyond the expiration date!) Unfortunately, it left my skin feeling really greasy afterward.

Just bought this yesterday, and I love it already! Was looking for a different lotion after I got the sample kit including a sample of Handy Gurugu. The woman at the store wasnt able to apply the 15% discount directly to this after bringing in the empty sample tub, but she gave me a coupon that was equal to the 15% discount. The lotion is lovely, smells fresh and powdery *probably due to the chamomile?* and marzipan. It's a little slow to absorb, so give yourself some time for it to sink into your skin before you go touchin' on things!

I never understood why people always use lotions/creams on their body, but this winter I have been experiencing dry skin for the first time because the heat in both my apartment and at my job are on so high and we have no way of controlling it.

The back of my hands were dry to the point where it was painful and burning. I tried using the Soft Touch body butter for hands, but it didn't work, and made the burning feel worse (it seems to be better for softening hands, but not moisturizing).

The next day I picked up a jar of Smitten. This stuff smells different on your skin than in the jar, and my first reaction after applying was "Eww this smells weird". But I couldn't believe that it worked so fast! Within a couple of hours the dryness, cracking, and burning disappeared, and my hands couldn't be happier.
And it actually does smell wonderful....to the point where I'm always smelling my hands and craving marzipan.

It absorbs fast but is still a tad greasy. I only really use it on the back on my hands so it doesn't really matter to me, but on those occasions where I apply it on my fingers I try not to touch anything because it leaves grease marks.
