I have never loved or hated a product enough to ever feel compelled to write a review.. however this product was absolutely amazing. I dont have thankfully, acne prone skin, I have normal/dry skin and I rarely get spots but when I do, man they pop out like the fourth of July. bought this for my boyfriend who has very acne prone skin, he has yet to try it... Well I woke up one morning with a nice white spot on my upper lip. Like Marilyn Monroe status except not sexy!!!! Anyway, I thought Id give GL a shot, WHAM BAM THANK YOU MAM!! SAME nigh: Clearly the spot had gone down and was less visible. Next day: No bump just a tiny spot as if had popped it weeks ago and was now going away Next night: OMG ITS GONE! I am not joking with you, Ive never had any product produce such great results so quickly :) Will be buying more. Im telling you straight ladies and gents, this works. Needless to say my Boy saw the results and I had to stop him from pouring the whole lot on his face! :)

I've been using proactive for about 15 years. I recently switched to lush products and I've been really impressed by this serum. I apply it in place of the "3rd" step. It works great for preventing and zapping any acne I do have. I've put it on some zits just as they start and they are gone within a day or two and don't develop into the large painful kind with this. I'm definitely very happy with this. It is drying, so I only apply it to my T-zone. And in the morning I apply my moisturize after so it doesn't leave any residue or dry flaky skin.

I have struggled with acne for some time, and occasionally it gets really bad. I have tried lots of medicated products with nasty sounding chemicals in them. But nothing has worked as well as this! I put Grease Lightning on a zit or a breakout at night, and the next day it is seriously reduced. More often than not, the zit is completely gone! No product has ever done that for me!

"Grease Lightning" is my zit zapper! It kills zits ranging from mild to severe. I dab it on the troublesome spot (a little goes a lonnng way), allow it to dry, and later rub it off with a damp washcloth - the next day the problem area looks healed and continues looking better with each use.
Love this product - cannot do without it!

I was so amazed when I used this. I've had a streak going for months where I haven't had one day where my chin wasn't covered in pimples. low and behold, when I bought this and used it the first night, the next morning my chin was already clearing up. I'm so happy with this spot treatment and I can only hope that my skin doesn't become immune to this because I've NEVER found anything that works as well as this. not even proactive.

I use this product after washing my face with Fresh Pharmacy, and it has been so good. My skin has cleared up within a matter of days. It works great, but it does dry the skin a little bit, so its best to use it with a moisturizer (i was given a sample of Cosmetic Lad and it works GREAT!).

This product is AMAZING!! I think it works better under moisturizer for those with Acne prone skin than it does on top of moisturizer. I have been using this product for 5 weeks now and just tried to use it under the moisturizer as of yesterday and the blemishes I did have yesterday morning before doing this have become much smaller or have completely dried out!! I am transitioning from Proactiv so the purging process has to happen, but the purging process is not as painful as it was before with other products!! LUSH is a definite life saver!!! When putting Grease Lightning on over moisturizer it works, but not as effectively as it does under moisturizer. I use this with Fresh Farmacy in the morning, dark angels at night, tea tree toner, and vanishing cream after Grease Lighting of course!!

Nothing has ever cleared my skin as well as this product. After being prescribed gels and washes by a dermatologist and watching them fail, I thought I was doomed to bad skin. Grease lightning is a miracle! In combination with Imperialis Moisturizer and Aqua Marina cleanser, my skin has dramatically cleared in only two weeks. I received three compliments on my skin today alone- something I never thought would happen. Thank you Grease Lightning!!

It cleared up my skin practically overnight. It's perfect and really kept my skin from getting too oily. At first, I was skeptical, but I got a sample. I was back in as soon as I ran out to buy a bottle! I like using it after Ocean Salt.

While I do use this product on my occasional breakout and it seems to work relatively well, I apply this to bug bites and minor skin rashes and it works wonderfully!!!! I'm one that has insane reactions to bug bites,seriously like welts, and this knocks them out. I will continue to buy this and constantly reccomend this to everyone I come across with a bug bite.

This product must be a gift from the heavens!!!

After trying so many oil mattifying products from all brands this is the only one that actually works. Normally after applying other products after about an hour I can already see shine on my t-zone but with grease lightening, the greasy-ness stays away until noon which is a HUGE feat for any oil preventing product! This product is great especially since it's summer and my skin becomes an oil slick once the sun comes out. I will definitely be stocking up on this stuff!

What's the first thing I do after finding an obnoxious pimple on my chin? Run to Lush!

Grease Lightning was immediantly recommeded to me and I was super excited to go home and try it out. I squirted out a tiny dab and applyed to my chin. A few hours later, I looked in the mirror. I was horrified to find that the area around my chin was extremely flaky and dry, but my blemish was untouched!

I really wanted the product to work, so I tried it again, this time only applying the TINIEST dab directly to the blemish before I went to bed. When I woke up the next morning the pimple was much less noticeable and more bearable. Thank you (^-^). Lesson learned, use this SPARINGLY when you do use it!

I love this stuff! I have been breaking out since I can remember. I have finally found a product that actually works. LUSH and Nature seem to have all the answers I have found with LUSH products and this is no exception.

I wash my face with any of the cleansers when my skin is really bad around my monthly I use Herbalism or Dark Angel then I use my Saving Grace serum. Once that has absorbed I add a thin layer of Grease Lightning and then my LUSH moisturizer I have almost all of them then leave it till the A.M.

I wake up and my zits are less red and pronounced and it helps dry them up too. I am finally getting wonderful, even toned, healthy skin if it wasn't for this product I would still have terrible skin.

Plus what this does for the price is a steal and it lasts soo long I haven't even put a dent in mine. Does what it says now that's rare. It's a must have for skin that's prone to breakouts I hope you'll feel like me and say where have you been all my life!

I LOVE this! I carry it in my purse and apply it in the morning, 1-2 times during the day, and at night. However, this isn't my only cleanser. I use it after I tone and before I moisturize, so it is more like a spot zapper and oil mattifier, but it is what controls my oil and my acne. I think every oily person should add it to their face regimen! I gave this product 4 stars because It doesn't take off make up, so if I use it during the day I must remove my foundation, apply the cleanser, and reapply foundation, which is a hassle. finally, the price of the bottle may strike as too much at fist, but the results are wonderful and quick, and you need no more than a drop a bit smaller than a pea for full coverage. c:

I have always struggled with hormonal acne and breakouts. I use Grease lightning all over my face at night after washing and it leaves it smoother and less irritated by morning. It does not completely prevent or cure breakouts but it makes them much less severe and noticeable. This is one of the lush products that I make sure I have a constant supply of. Extremely effective at cleansing and leaving skin soft and clear. Even using it all over nightly, the product spreads easily and the small bottle goes a long way.

[...] It really didn't have an effect on me. Didn't keep me matte or take care of any spots. But I did find it as a good primer and it did tighten my pores. Although it didn't really work for me, it did for my sister. I suggest getting a sample at the store before buying if you can.

i read all the reviews on this product for months and never had a bad enough break out to want to try it. about once a month i get bad break outs and this month was TERRIBLE! i talked my hubby into driving me to the store to get this. i used it on the three problems i had and literally within 3 days, they were gone. there was no sign of them.

i'm hooked!

This came highly recommended by the lady in the Lush store. I followed the directions she gave me faithfully. At the time I started using it I just had a couple of spots on my face. Two weeks later it seems like my entire face is broken out. Not only that, but I have huge, painful cystic acne which I have NEVER had before and started two days after I first used Grease Lightning. As much as I love Lush I'm throwing this in the trash.

My skin was suffering the worst breakout period of my life - and I am not exaggerating. Clusters of cystic pimples and whiteheads showed up on my temples and cheeks and I still have the ugly scars to prove it. I had given up Proactiv because it just wasn't working anymore and was on the hunt for new products to treat my acne. My skin was still acting up, and I finally realized that benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid and sulfur did absolutely nothing to my pimples but irritate them further. I felt completely hopeless and decided to turn to Lush because of how gentle their products are. I was recommended Grease Lightning to treat my spots. Now, b/c of the ingredients, I did not have high hopes for its effectiveness on my stubborn skin but I was truly amazed! After I cleanse my face, and tone with Tea tree toner, I apply this to any affected areas. The texture is watery and gel-like at the same time, but dries quickly on the skin. It leaves the skin tight, but never causes flaking. Afterwards, I moisturize. I do this morning and night and after 2 weeks, I noticed that my pimples were going away a lot faster than they would if I treated it with anything else. Mind you, this product does not prevent pimples, but it dries up any whitehead within a night and stops the pain of those undergrounders within two to three days. This has been by far the most effective spot treatment for my pimples I have tried and the fact that it's so gentle is a major plus. I would buy this again and again.
