Toners And Toner Tabs
Of the three steps to good facial care toning the skin is skipped the most. Why? It's dreadfully easy and it's important. (If it wasn't important it would be considered an option, not a step.) It's the in-between of cleansing and moisturizing. It removes residual cleanser and rehydrates your epidermis. Our toners are made with fruit, flower and herb waters and without alcohol so they don't make your skin feel dry, just smoother, cleaner, better and nicely refreshed.
Did You Know?
There is a common myth that skin is waterproof; it's true that if you stand in the rain you don't go soggy and dissolve in a puddle but that just means it's not soluble ? an entirely different matter. The skin does absorb moisture and it absorbs essential oils too.
Toners are designed to make your skin feel the opposite of flabby and they remove leftover bits of cleanser, delivering specific essential oils to your skin's surface, according to your needs.
When you've finished your steam, put the leftover water in a toner bottle and keep it in the fridge for up to two days to use as a fresh toner.
Some toners are drying because they have alcohol in them. Ours have flower waters, sea water and spring water plus meticulously selected essential oils.
Helen Ambrosen, our brilliant product creator, develops all of our toners. She spends months getting them just right and can't live without them.
