I believe I have tried almost every deep conditioning treatment there is. I tend to go back and forth and change my favorites frequently but I do always return to my Marilyn.

My hair is dry, thin, colored, and flat. Marilyn fixes all of that. I leave it on overnight and it fixes all of my hair fright. :)

i heat style 99% of the time... as in most weeks, i use something hot every day of the week. sometimes more than once a day. i also have fine, chemically processed hair. the water in my shower tends to be very hard. that being said, my hair is very dry. very. dry.

my hair goes about an inch below my armpit. i use 1/3 of the jar twice a month (if im not too lazy). i leave this stuff on OVER NIGHT. .. at least 8 hours. when i wake up, my split ends are virtually GONE. my blonde hair is sparkling gorgeous and smells FANTASTIC. i mean i smell my hair all day. and it lasts for 1-3 days.

HOWEVER. it COULD make my hair softer. i dont use any hair products, so i can really tell how soft something makes my hair. i give it it a 4/5 or a 8/10.

THAT being said. THIS STUFF IS GREAT. its all natural, smells fantastic, super easy and GUILT FREE***

if you're a blonde... get this. you want this. trust me.

I really enjoy this product! I recently bought a headcase for volume and shine..but this was my favorite product from it :) A little goes a long way for me and I don't think it's necessary to use the whole thing in one use..at all!! It is very moisturizing and revitalizing to my locks. Additionally, it did lighten my hair a little with me using it 3 times :) I see small pops of color in my hair..it is very subtle but quite nice. Only con about this product is it does not detangle my hair, which is no biggie because that's not what I'm using it for. I can just use a regular conditioner for that. Btw, this product does leave some coating in the hair, but that's expected from the olive oil..I like it because it doesn't weigh down my hair but gives nourishment and subtle shine. YAY!! I'm buying this again, always will.

I received this as a sample with my order and I personally didn't like this very much. My normal conditioner leaves my hair much softer and smoother. I don't believe it is worth the money :/

I actually received Marilyn as a sample when I went in-store this weekend. My hair is dyed black, and very weary from over ten years of constant processing. It doesn't comb well anymore, and it doesn't feel like real hair, or drape down my shoulders like real hair either - lifeless. I know this sounds like an info-mercial but I tried my sample today - about a palm-size, and it really helped! My hair still has a faint scent on it (nice), it looks shinier, it feels smoother (of course not unprocessed-hair normal but as good as it can get now!) and the frizz is gone. I will be buying a pot of this for myself soon!! Wonderful!

This price deterred me from purchasing this product at first, but a very sweet LUSH associate gave me a sample to take home and try before I committed.
I am THRILLED with the results! I have never colored my hair before, so this product was a nice way to test the waters without drastic changes. My hair looked more vibrant with one use, and after using it for a second time it looks even better.
I definitely plan to buy the full container on my next "rush to LUSH" and make "Marilyn" part of my monthly hair care routine.

I'm a natural blonde whose hair has gradually turned darker over the years, especially after having my daughter. I was a little sad to see the changes, but the last straw for me was when one of my daughter's playmates called my hair brown. Ack! I've never dyed my hair (don't like the idea of chemicals or having to maintain it) so when I saw Marilyn, I thought it was worth a shot. I was NOT prepared for such dramatic results: my hair had lightened at least 3-4 shades!! When I came downstairs afterward, my husband's eyes got huge and his jaw literally dropped. That would've been reason enough to get this product again, but it also made my hair felt like silk and delicately scented it.

Some people may not like the scent; I did, though it was a bit strong when first applied and while it soaks. The great news is that it does NOT stay that strong after you rinse it.

LOVE this product. Please keep making it.

SO I have this in my hair right now and I wanted to share my initial thoughts. I am a tea drinker, so I love the scent. It was easy to apply to my long hair and I only used about a quarter of the container to get a full application. Immediately after applying, the product seemed to bring out my blond highlights. I have my hair in a bun now and gettibg ready to go to the gym and will update when I rinse out. I am excited to see the final results!

My hair is super thick and very dry. When I asked one of the staff about what I should use they suggested this. I was quite reluctant, because most hair treatments in the past have just left my hair super greasy instead of smooth and silky. Also, it smells a bit odd. I got it anyways though and fell in love. My hair felt as if I'd just gone to the salon and I hadn't had my hair cut in months. It was silky, smooth and shiny. Some friends commented that they didn't like the smell, but it actually grew on me. I try not to wash my hair everyday to keep it healthier and what I really love about Marilyn is that it doesn't make my hair look super greasy even if I skip a day of hair washing right after. My hair looks gorgeous for days. The only real downside is that I only get about three- maybe four, if I really stretch it- uses out of each pot, which would maybe get me through 2 months. It's not inexpensive. Still, I don't do much for my hair, so I figure splurging a little to make it look great isn't that bad.

I really enjoyed using Marilyn, it was lots of fun. I have hair that falls a few inches below my collarbone, and I used about one third of the jar for one treatment. I applied it to dry, clean hair and left it in overnight. It was dried and crunchy when I woke up, but it rinsed out wonderfully. I noticed two big differences in my hair: texture and highlights. Marilyn made my fine, wavy hair extremely soft and silky. I was stroking my head all day after I used it! It also really brought out golden highlights in my dark blonde hair roots, and lightened my caca rouge henna tips to a more strawberry blonde. I was not expecting any noticable lightening, so I was pleasantly surprised. It probably worked well because my hair is so fine and I left it in so long. I've only used it once, can't wait to see what two more treatments do! I'm planning on putting it in next time then spreading my hair out in bright sun to help lighten it. So, overall, great product for my hair. However, very very expensive for the three uses I'm getting out of it. As much as I love it, I probably won't buy it again because of this.

The lady at my Lush store recommended this product to me after I asked her what will help me revive my dull, dry, frizzy dark brunette locks. I have been growing my hair out for over 2 years now, and my ends are dry and splitting, so I wanted something that will help prevent that until I finally go in for a trim! This product has given my hair much dimension, my hair gets a reddish tinge in the sun and it looks so pretty. I can tell an improvement in the texture; it hasn't solved my frizz, but it is more manageable and soft instead of dead and strawlike. I leave it in for about an hour, and wash it out with Karma Komba. I also have applied some lightly on my ends overnight to let it seep in. The smell is intense at first, but not very noticeable after it is on your head for a while. My mom could not use this with her sensitive nose and being so prone to headaches, though. My hair is rather long, and I get 2 uses out of the treatment. It is a bit pricey, but I think it is worth it. At least give it a shot! 4 stars because the intense smell leaves some people unable to use it and it is a bit expensive for 2 treatments.

I use Marilyn as an over-night treatment about once a week. I've gotten in a few uses and really love the way it makes my hair feel. Silky, smooth, moisturized and light. Using Marilyn with solid shampoo The Blonde has really removed that dull residue that my hair seemed to have collected and my highlights are brighter and my hair is so shiny! I'm completely in love. I have long, thick hair and if I comb it through in sections, I can really make the treatment last. This product is definitely a keeper. I don't like to style with a lot of products, heat and I don't dye my hair and Marilyn has my locks looking lovely despite my minimalist attitude!

I bought this because I had used Caca Rouge Henna on my hair a couple times and my naturally blonde roots were starting to show. I wanted to get some of the red out and restore the blonde before vacation. This worked wonders! It really lightened my hair. I am now using it about once a week. The difference is subtle, but noticable. I only gave it 4 stars because it doesn't provide the shine that the henna provided, but it does make my hair really soft. I wasn't crazy about the smell at first, but it really grew on me.

I usually apply this to wet hair for about 30 minutes. I hit it with the blow dryer a couple times during that period and then wash and condition with Blonde Shampoo and whatever conditioner I have handy. I haven't tried sitting in the sun with it yet, but now that it's starting to get warmer, I plan to give that a try.

I was super excited to try Marilyn and was SURE I would notice a drastic change. I've tried it 3 times now, slathering it on for a few hours at a time. I am a lover of all things LUSH, but this conditioner really did NOTHING for me. Even as a leave in, I barely noticed a difference in texture, let alone color. Boo! :(

That being said, I DO already have very healthy hair. (I've used Godiva solid shampoo and Jungle conditioner for years now) I will continue to try Miss Marilyn's conditioner (I used it as my BOGO deal, so I'm stuck with 2 pots anyway) and see if wearing it out in the sun makes any difference, or perhaps even trying it overnight..? If anything, it makes my hair smell delish for days.

Disappointed, but not discouraged! :)

I had been without a hair style or colour in such a long time before the first time I used marilyn. Long story short, I decided to give this a try. What I do is put it on at about 8 at night and let it dry before bed. if it's not dried completely, I wrap my head in a towel before sleep. In the morning I wake up and use Godiva to wash it out. my hair is so soft and amazingly shiny for a very long time. I only do this about once a month because I live far away from a lush store and have to wait for my marilyn. a pot usually lasts me 3-4 uses and I have hair past my shoulders.

I am a natural blonde and this product made my hair look like it's natural summer color in winter. I have thick long hair and this treatment made my hair smooth and manageable. The color is amazing and my husband loves how soft my hair feels. Even my mother and sister love how great and natural it looks.I would recommend this product to natural blondes weary of products that promise a lightened color.

I like this a lot, but you do need to use a glob to get back length hair. My only complaint is that my tub was a bit liquified, more thin than the picture shows. But overall decent product!

So by the first time I used this stuff on my almost dirty blonde hair I saw a difference.. left it on for about an hour then shampooed and conditioned like normal. GREAT TEXTURE, loads of shine, made my waves so very bouncy, and added a ton of softness. Made my hair feel like silk honestly. By the second time I used it, my husband saw the difference and was like "Wow I never saw those golden parts in your hair before! It looks so pretty"! Btw, my hair is pretty long and I only used like an ounce each time.. and that deff did the trick. So this should last you awhile. It's also nice to glop in like a penny size amount throughout your hair for a little flyaway control and beachy texture. LOVE IT! Next I'm going to try the blonde shampoo!

Delivery was up to standards with everything listed on the site about shipping. Lush provides you with a tracking number once your stuff has been shipped. I would be careful about shipping when the weather gets hotter on this though, as it is very liquid-y.
