In 1995, we had one store in Vancouver, BC. Then in 2003, we opened our first U.S. store in San Francisco. With just a few stores and a handful of employees—we never could’ve expected to be where we’re at today!

More than two decades later, Lush North America has gone from that single shop in Vancouver to nearly 240 shops across Canada and the U.S. With such massive growth in such a short period of time, we’re constantly adding new roles and looking for new faces to bring their expertise to different parts of our business. And we don’t just look for people outside of our offices—in fact, we love to promote from within and encourage all of our people at all levels to try new careers paths inside Lush.

Meet Ryan in Manufacturing

In 2007, Ryan Campeau joined the Lush team as an entry level inventory controller in our gifts department. He was instantly captivated by the warmth of his colleagues, the fun work environment and the freedom he had to experiment and grow professionally. Since then, Ryan has worn many hats; from inventory controller to compounder to manager of a production department, he’s now supporting a team of managers and helping them grow their own careers as well as the business.

Meet Danielle in Retail

Danielle started working at Lush as a part-time holiday employee in 2009 in one of our Vancouver shops. She fell in love with the working atmosphere and Lush’s commitment to ethical issues. From her first position as a sales associate, Danielle quickly became a floor leader and eventually manager-in-training. In this position she learned the ins and outs of a retail business and developed her management skills. Today, she manages a team of 25 employees, and spends one week per month travelling to shops across North America to help support and train new managers.

Meet Ali in Head Office

Ali joined Lush’s eCommerce team in 2012 as a Digital Marketing Coordinator, where her skills and work ethic took her from that position to Digital Project Manager. Each day, Ali supports and communicates with teams across the business, and ensures that the creative teams have what they need to meet deadlines. She manages multiple projects at a time and keeps each team working seamlessly, so website elements are completed on time. In addition to her passion for the work that she does, Ali also loves the charitable values of the business, making her feel like she contributes some good in the world—and all just by doing her job every day.
