Growing Peace Through Cocoa in Congo
With the Congo's ongoing political instability, farmers and producers are underserving targets of conflict. Buying cocoa from the Congo is a fantastic opportunity to create with a high quality product, while helping farming communities thrive.
I have been a long time Lush customer, and had purchased Floating Island previously. I have always liked the product, until now. It is a fraction of the size it used to be - it is so small, it looks like a 'sample', not the actual product. Very disappointed, as the price is the same. I would not purchase again due to the size versus cost.
I would not buy again

What Happened to the Floating Island?

I loved this stuff but why is it a quarter of the size then before? I was able to use it for four separate baths. Now it looks like it went through the dryer. A bit disappointed of how tiny the island is now :(

Is it just me, or had the quality of lush products taken a serious nosedive? I used to live right next to a lush store in Seattle between 2012 and 2018, and I would buy bath-bombs on my way there almost weekly..they were my weekly treat when I was a graduate student. I just moved to Connecticut and ordered some stuff online to cheer me up on those heavy days and so far both products I have used including this one was really disappointing. Very little oil, it sinks so it should not be called floating anything and my skin was not nourished. I am tempted based on the two products not to buy lush again though this will make me very sad 😞 send me your best products and convince me otherwise! Already paid $90 for this and I am disappointed!
Beware of melt in the summer months

I bought this, along with a few other bath oils, a few weeks ago. During delivery, they melted into liquid. This isn't a fair review since I will be unable to use any of them but if you live in a hot climate, beware of purchasing during warm months.

The smell really comes alive once it's in the water. It's my new favorite!

Okay, but a big letdown from the former floating island

I'm a huge lover of the original formulation of floating island - I live and work where it is supremely cold and dry, and loved the luxuriousness of the oils in it.
I recently purchased more, and received the new formulation. Firstly, the scent is different, though the new scent profile is still very nice. Secondly, the floating island no longer floats! It sits at the bottom of your bath, slowly dissolving, releasing mild bubbles.
My biggest gripe is the overall lack of moisturizing that I now get with this. I get it's a new formulation - instead of the old "oil slick" floating island, we get the new one that somehow releases much smaller oil globules that don't look like you're trying to marinade yourself - but overall it's a step backwards and a huge disappointment.

So upsetting. Ordered this because I love lush and I love bath oils. I'm in the bath RIGHT NOW using it. Horrendous.
The meltability is garbage. I got maybe 3 drops of oil floating in my tub right now. The smell is very slight and not overly fragrant, which I dislike because I love my bathroom smelling like a floral nightmare, but that part is just preference. The smell IS nice, but you'd absolutely need to buy, like, three of these in order to have anything worth melting in your tub. Does nothing for the skin. I wish I didn't buy it and actually bought something I knew would like. I'm never buying this again. So disappointing.
