Feeling all washed up? This avocado and argan oil hot mask is just the job for hardworking hands with fresh cupuaçu and murumuru butters to hydrate and nourish every nook and cranny. To get started, stand your mask upright in a bowl large enough to fit both of your hands in comfortably. Boil hot water and add enough to your bowl to cover the product and stir, allowing the treatment to develop and thicken. Make sure the mix isn't too hot and then plunge your hands into its dreamy, creamy lotion and soak for around 15 minutes (or until the doorbell rings).

This hand mask made my hands peel. They were a little dry to start, but now my hands are cracked and peeling. It looks like I used one of those skin peeling foot masks. It's awful. Do no recommend.

Bad Instructions, not worth the time or effort.

Vague instructions hidden on the inside of wrapper. Found a demo on YouTube. Must stir in boiling for about 10 minutes to melt, then waited for it cool.

Need a little more product added to this , put in a pretty small bowl and still did not cover my hands , look it up on you tube to see full instructions on how to use, I had quite a bit of product left over and didnt want to waste so I put in container and using as a lotion which works great for your skin .... I will definitely be buying this again.

Nice but kinda thin consistency

Maybe that's my mistake but it was more of a thin layer with little pieces just sitting on my skin of my hands...I tried microwaving the water but no good so then I boiled it stovetop...that melted it all the way but even tho I added cold water then it still took a while before I could submerge both hands...so instead I dipped and took them out till it was comfy enough to fully plunge them in...it feels nice during and afterwards a bit pruny but that goes with the territory...glitter was fun swirling around...was a gift...so probably won't buy for myself...however my cuticles feel nice and moisturized :-)
Hot Body Mask

I found my self suffering from extremely dry skin and decided to try this as a full body mask. I chopped it up first and added a quarter of a cup of boiling water and stirred rigoursly. I was left with quite a bit of a silky fluffy lotion. It was enough to cover from neck to toes . I waited 15 minutes before rinsing and followed with dream cream. Felt really great when I woke up the next day

Made my skin worse

I have dry hands and followed the directions, for 20 mins I soaked my hands in warm water (using this) and it actually left my hands more dried out than before. I was kind of surprised, it's the first product from lush that I would not recommend.
Can't get past the smell :(

Okay, so overall, I'd Golden Handshake is fairly effective at hand moisturizing. Bit involved but could be a nice treat if you want to self-spa it up. My issue is that it has what to me is a harsh, aggressively floral, bordering on nail salon chemical smell. If you like this scent you'll be in luck, it'll stay on your hands for days no matter how many times you wash your hands (at least that was my experience) but it gives me a headache. Just glad it wasn't super expensive.
Pruned Dry Hands
Thunder Bay | 1 year ago
I did this treatment with a friend last night. Melting it and prepping it was easy and simple. We scrubbed our hands with Scrub Scrub Scrub and then used the mask. It was fun and nice feeling when it was warm, but we soon found our hands getting pruned and I find that so uncomfortable. After they dried I felt my hands had become dryer then before the treatment. We put some lotion on to help. Today I woke up and my hands feel even more dry! I messaged my friend and hers feel the same. Maybe this treatment is good for really bad hands or something, since ours weren't very in desperate need. But I would consider this product ineffective.
Not for me. Zero stars.

I was gifted this and thought it would be a nice treat to use on a mother & daughter night. It was easy to prepare - no problems melting it down with boiling water. I'd say there's enough for 4 goes so it's good value. I admit I'm very funny about what touches my hands, but I didn't find it moisturizing at all, rather it seemed to leave a film. When it came time to clean up, both our hands were like prunes, and we didn't leave it on too long. I'm lucky in that I don't have cracked, chapped hands so it might work wonders for others, and it's a reasonable price to give it a try yourself. I couldn't get it off fast enough though, and used vanilla to try and get rid of the terrible smell. I had to put the remaining mixture outside. It was very cloying.
