PEARL
PEARL is a registered charity providing urgent medical care to individuals in Afghanistan, which has the highest maternal/infant mortality rate in the world. PEARL’s aim is to change this statistic by establishing medical facilities like Falah Hospital, built in northern Afghanistan in 2009. Since it was built, this facility has served over 250,000 patients in the areas of gynaecology/obstetrics, pediatrics, internal medicine, vaccination, and outpatient care.
This year, Falah will open a new 5,400 sq ft building to serve more people with higher quality care.
