Animal Alliance of Canada
The mandate for Animal Alliance of Canada is to protect all animals and the environment through electoral politics, education and rescue. They campaign across Canada, from BC where they fight to protect deer from cruel culling to Nova Scotia, where they campaign to protect the seals on Sable Island. They also take a stand against environmentally costly initiatives such as the tar sands and the Keystone XL pipeline, and for a diversity of species including wildlife, companion, farm and research animals and animals used to test cosmetics.
How we helped
The Animal Alliance has joined with the Humane Society International/Canada to launch the Be Cruelty-Free campaign in Canada, part of an international initiative to end cosmetic testing on animals world-wide. Together, Animal Alliance and the Humane Society International/Canada are calling on the Canadian Government to make Canada the next country to say no to cruel cosmetics. LUSH has provided $10,000 towards the outreach and communication of a Public Service Announcement (PSA) that creates awareness and calls for action on the issue of animal testing in cosmetics.
