Better World Cameroon

Better World Cameroon, founded in 1996 is an entrepreneurship platform for momentum on raising awareness to move youth and women in Cameroon from commitment to action. Our aim is to build the capacity of underemployed youth and women stakeholders through ecological agriculture and community dialogue on climate change. We sensitize and educate local populations on Permaculture best practices the African way. By encouraging youth leadership in collaboration on food sovereignty and job creation, we aim to achieve the 2020 sustainable development goals in Cameroon.

How we helped

This grant will be used to construct accommodation facilities for Ndanifor Permaculture Ecovillage, enabling BWC to achieve the following objectives: a) Improvements to the Permaculture demonstration site, expanding our facility to serve non-local participants b) Raised community awareness of ecological construction methods c) Increased community involvement in the Bafut 2020 Vision and Ndanifor Permaculture Ecovillage activities d) More employment and volunteer opportunities for the local community
