Burgh Bees
Burgh Bees aims to introduce beekeeping to Pittsburghers in order to promote bees and beekeeping and in so doing, stewardship of the environment. Burgh Bees conducts programs to help teach beginning beekeepers how to responsibly keep their own hives. Additionally, Burgh Bees develops and maintains urban apiaries that serve as the location for hands-on beekeeping classes.
How we helped
LUSH provided funding to go towards the costs of the community apiary project in Pittsburgh to educate the public about the importance of repopulating the area with bees.
