Canadian Youth Climate Coalition

The Canadian Youth Climate Coalition (CYCC) works to connect, educate and support youth across Canada to take action on climate change and for climate justice. We support and coordinate over thirty student-run fossil fuel divestment campaigns on campuses from coast to coast, organize major conferences to train young people, and send a youth delegation to international climate change negotiations to hold our government accountable.

How we helped

The donation that the Canadian Youth Climate Coalition is receiving from Lush will aid us in organizing the 3rd regional (and 5th overall) PowerShift gathering. PowerShift is a gathering organized by youth for youth that aims to mobilize passionate youth from affected communities and various sectors of society to explore multiple ways of taking action and working to develop each other’s capacity and abilities. With the support of Lush and other aligned organizations and individuals, we will mobilize youth on the ground in Alberta and across Canada to learn, grow and act together on the climate crisis for a just and sustainable future.
