Check Your Head: The Global Youth Education Network is a youth-focused not-for-profit organization based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Founded in 1999, we use a peer-led popular education approach that helps young people to understand and take action for social, economic and environmental justice. We provide education, resources, training and support for youth to live as engaged, independent and active citizens. Our mission is to create spaces where young people come together to connect, imagine and build socially and environmentally just communities.

How we helped

The donation from Charity Pot allows us to make our core educational programming accessible to English language learners and newcomer youth by adapting our library of 11 issue-based workshops. We are also able to host a Youth Summit that builds the capacity of young leaders who are working to address the most pressing social, economic and environmental justice issues. This support is vital to the work of our organization in meeting the needs of our diverse communities and further strengthening youth leadership.
