Help us put the FALLS back in River Falls!
The Friends of the Kinni is a grassroots river conservation organization formed by local citizens who love the Kinnickinnic River and want to see it flowing freely through the city of River Falls, Wisconsin.
We feel that the return of our FALLS to River Falls, through the restoration of the Kinnickinnic River, will bring new benefits to our community, like urban recreation, beautification, business opportunities, improved water quality, a rallying point for city pride, tourism, better fishing, a healthier river, and much, much more.
How we helped
Lush's contribution will be used to partially fund a Feasibility Study for the Restoration of the Kinnickinnic River through Dam Removal. This Feasibility Study will help pave the way for the complete restoration of the Kinnickinnic River through the removal of the last two remaining deadbeat dams obstructing our river's flow. Restoration of the Kinnickinnic River through removal of these two dams in the heart of our community will restore a full mile of world class trout stream along with the historic Junction Falls Waterfall, from which our city of River Falls got its name.
