Global Alliance for Incinerator Alternatives

GAIA is a global network that challenges polluting waste disposal methods and works to build an economy where all products are reused, repaired or recycled. The scale of what we trash and how fast we trash it is creating a worldwide crisis, with major health, environmental, and economic impacts for us all, and especially for low-income communities of color. We support grassroots, community-led efforts to transform local waste systems, challenge harmful trash-burning, and advocate for better products and policies.
