The Herbal Anthropology Project's mission is to protect indigenous traditional medicine by documenting its use through the direct collaboration with indigenous cultures, safeguarding the knowledge of traditional medicine and support its continued use. By increasing language and traditional medicine preservation, the Herbal Anthropology Project supports health sovereignty and cultural sustainability for vulnerable indigenous communities by educating about intellectual property rights for indigenous people.
