In Tanzania large numbers of young people live on the street selling fruit, firewood or themselves to make a living. Many young people are losing out on employment in the tourism sector due to lack of education opportunities, experience and the right skills/attitude. At the same time, hotels and restaurants struggle to find adequate staff to provide good service to their clients. Jobortunity bridges this gap by translating the needs of the hospitality sector into a training program, called Hi5. In this way youth become employable and the hospitality sector has well-suited staff.
