Kulture Klub Collaborative provides enriching multidisciplinary artistic practices to youth experiencing homelessness and provides the opportunity for artists to grow individually and transform their community. Housed within a drop-in service center in Minneapolis, MN, the organization strives to break down existing barriers that prevent at-risk youth from accessing the arts. By partnering with larger institutions and professional artists, Kulture Klub Collaborative allows a safe space for young people to express themselves and develop the skills needed to move toward independence and stability.
With generous support from the Charity Pot program, Kulture Klub Collaborative will not only be able to continue to offer high quality artistic experiences for hundreds of youth experiencing homelessness each year, but also expand our capacity of what we can offer in our facilities. Our recording studio will be upgraded to allow for multiple youth to learn the art of engineering. We will also implement an internship program in the studio employing youth. This will allow participants to gain valuable work experience and professional references, helping them to gain independence. A much-needed website upgrade will be essential in spreading the word of what our programs offer and the work we have done.
