Lower Nine is dedicated to is dedicated to the long-term recovery of the historic Lower Ninth Ward in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina and the levee breaches of 2005. They’re rebuilding homes for displaced homeowners and working to mitigate blight, keeping residents in safe and secure housing. Training includes construction skills, community gardening projects, emotional and social support services, social outreach and community development, with the goal of establishing a holistic approach to resurrecting the neighborhood.
