SSSNY has been working for over 15 years, building capacity of community youth from various backgrounds through its Social Justice Education Program (SJEP), Community Leadership Development Training (CLDT) and recent Community Youth Cooperation Leadership Empowerment (CYCLE).
SSSNY works to promote youth participation for social and political change in Burma. Its alumni are working actively across all sectors to promote human rights, equality, justice towards genuine and sustainable peace and development in Burma.
SSSNY aims to continue to support community activists, members of Community Based Organizations and Civil Society Organizations through capacity building through training and networking through alumni meetings.

Lush's support has enabled SSSNY to develop capacity of ethnic civil society to contribute to increased popular influence for a transition to a federal democratic system of governance in Shan state and Burma, ensuring human rights, equality, justice and sustainable development and peace.
