With the support of the Charity Pot, we will consolidate our bike project (MECANO) in Togo. This project is developed in collaboration with our partner Écho de la Jeunesse-Togo (ECHOJET), a non-profit, non-governmental organization whose mission is to improve the lives of the underprivileged rural populations of Togo through infrastructure development, training and natural resource management programs. The MECANO project has two components: a community bike repair shop, sale and distribution component and a bike mechanic training component. We believe that each bike project we develop in collaboration with our local partners must be specifically adapted to better meet the needs of the community. The MECANO projects aims to provide better mobility, training, and to develop entrepreneurship around bicycles. A training center will be at the heart of the project and will set a precedent for other projects in Togo and elsewhere.
