Peru’s public education system is not free and many parents are not able to afford to send their children to school. SKIP works in an impoverished district of Trujillo, Peru, with a diverse team of teachers, social workers, psychologists, economic development workers and other volunteers. The group provides school fees, uniforms and materials to over 350 children each year.
SKIP also provides a variety of support programs and microfinance loans for the student’s parents.
