Upper Chattahouchee Riverkeeper is an environmental advocacy organization dedicated solely to protecting and restoring the Chattahouchee River Basin. This basin is the drinking water source for 3.5 million people.
How we helped
LUSH funds helped establish a separate office in the Gainsville area of Georgia. This office has its own budget that will support a water quality monitoring program, enabling the community to test for high levels of bacteria and toxic materials that contaminate the river system and pose serious health threats.
