UPSTREAM

UPSTREAM is a US-based environmental organization dedicated to creating a healthy, just and sustainable society by addressing the root causes of environmental harm. Their mission is to advance sustainability, end plastic pollution and reduce climate disruption through product-focused environmental policies. Upstream works to address plastic pollution through their policy work on packaging and by leading the Make It, Take It Campaign in partnership with a number of organizations working to solve marine plastic pollution. They primarily act as a solutions-oriented policy and strategy think tank, and as conveners and coalition-builders around environmental issues related to products and packaging.

How we helped

Lush's donation and partnership will help assemble core plastic pollution organizations and funders to start developing a set of common goals, strategies, and integrated campaigns to end ocean plastic pollution.
