Urban Harvest St. Louis

Urban Harvest St. Louis builds community through collaborative gardening, turning empty urban spaces into opportunities for connecting people to their food source and encouraging a healthier quality of life. The community garden project gives residents the opportunity to grow their own nutritious, organic food or to donate what they have grown to those who need it. The garden helps provide fresh food for a local restaurant that, in turn, provides training for people suffering from mental illness and homelessness. Seasonal events bring together the garden volunteers and other members of the community to learn about food, biodiversity and connection to the environment.

How we helped

Funds from Charity Pot supported the first rooftop farm in St. Louis, enriching lives through education and innovation in urban agriculture, green space and community building.
