Voice For The Animals is dedicated to creating respect and empathy for animals through education, rescue, legislation and advocacy. It prides itself on excellence, significance and leadership in the community. We are founded on a belief in the sacredness of all life and seek to eliminate situations where animals are abused or destroyed. Since 2005, Voice For The Animals has been at the forefront, fighting to save animals around the world. Holding elephants in captivity is cruel. Elephants walk 100 miles a day and live 3 times longer in the wild than in captivity. Captivity is not conservation.

How we helped

The donation from Lush has helped the public to understand the horrible effects of captivity on elephants and why keeping elephants in zoos and circuses is cruel and not entertaining. Our international campaign will give specific examples and cite documented facts proving that taking elephants from the wild and putting them in captivity harms them in ways that cannot be reversed. Education is the first step towards stopping cruelty. Lush's generous donation will make a huge impact towards ending the horrific practice of keeping elephants in captivity.
