WaterWealth Project

The WaterWealth Project is a non-partisan, citizen-driven initiative that works to amplify the voices of local community members who love the place in which they live, the nature around them, and the precious waters that sustain them. Water wealth is about the physical, spiritual, cultural and ecological prosperity that water makes possible. We recognize that long term fresh water protection can only be achieved with recognition of First Nations rights and title.

How we helped

With funding from Lush, WaterWealth launched a robust streamkeeping program in the Fraser Valley that will raise awareness and deliver education about the immense value that water provides for all life. Data collected through treamkeeping will identify harmful factors currently affecting our shared home waters, and enable early detection and response to new threats. The streamkeeping program will provide the science to guide and generate the public interest to protect our shared home waters.
