Wild Forests and Fauna

What began as a dream to protect a strategically important region of the Peruvian Amazon, has grown into a network of like-minded scientists and business professionals conserving the beauty and biodiversity of globally important forests. Wild Forests and Fauna’s strength rests on its efforts to support local leaders and organizations working to conserve and restore the ecological and cultural values of their forests. Current projects include protecting the Las Piedras River watershed in Madre de Dios, Peru and a culturally-focused reforestation project in Gulu, Uganda.

How we helped

Through the support of Lush, Wild Forests and Fauna (WildFF) will host its 4th annual Future Leaders Youth Summit at the Las Piedras Amazon Center, a WildFF sponsored ecotourism project protecting 11,000 acres of endangered rainforest. The Future Leaders program is integral to WildFF’s long-term strategy to conserve and sustainably develop the globally important Las Piedras watershed. In partnership with Lush, we will advance this goal by bringing together 25 local young adults to the Amazon for a transformational experience designed to create opportunities to develop eco-businesses, explore potential collaborations, and grow as professionals.
