The Wixárika Research Center, in central Mexico, works to raise public awareness and respect of Wixárika culture, also known as Huichol, through an online archive highlighting their art, history and culture. The Wixárika Research Center is committed to the defense of the sacred lands and natural resources of the Wixárika people and they design, implement and finance environmentally sustainable projects for Wixárika communities.
How we helped
Funds from Charity Pot go towards the cost of the Wood Drying Solar Oven Project. This project will create a sustainable source of income and increase environmental consciousness within the community of Tuapurie through the establishment of an eco-forestry program.
