Black sugar and charcoal exfoliate and absorb excess oils to leave dull, oily or acne-prone skin feeling fresh and matte. Even oily skin can be sensitive, so we've made this one soft and soothing to calm redness and irritation, too. Its rhassoul mud base deeply cleanses to help prevent breakouts, while vitamin-rich cold pressed organic avocado oil nourishes skin to leave it soft and lightly hydrated. Use all over for perfectly smooth, bright skin. An angel indeed!

SHOWER

I use this in the shower before I go in with the ocean soap bar. It does tend to get back splatter everywhere, but I have yet to have an issue with removing it. I also don't know why everyone has a black film left on them? But that could be because I use this as a step 1 for body acne before going in with a soap bar. Found this to clear up body acne very nicely! Going to buy the larger size as soon as it's back in stock as its now in my daily shower routine.

It's an excellent exfoliate for my face as well as my body. Not only does it cleanse my pores without leaving my face dry or irritated. But I can also use this on my legs before shaving.

I used it on my face and it stained my skin black. A cleanser isnt very good if I need another cleanser to wash it off after.

Great for face and body!

I use this on my face and arm pits in the shower, as I find it helps remove oil and then also any BO I have for a fresh smell. I moved to vegan deodorant which isn't always the greatest, so this helps me feel fresh and clean and keeps my oily face fresh looking. Only con is to make sure you use a flannel when wiping off, as some black marks might remain.

this product is like medicine for skin, so if you need it enough youll be willing to ignore the black left. i kinda thought it was fun, being a blond; it boosted radience. lasts longer than most of their cleansers, but it is serious stuff! so glad i had "let the good times roll" to use on my skin after dark angels, because it had become sensitive; i barely made it through a big pot and little pot of dark angels. helped clear up sun damage with beauty sleep, serum, and skin drink. had to use lotion with it at all times. hopefully i wont need it again, but works wonders for troubled skin and sun damage if you use it right.

I have slight rosacea on my cheeks and used herbalism for years so I thought this would be a good cleanser. It's not. It stained my cheeks black and it was so abrasive I couldn't feel my face. It made my rosacea ten times worse. I gave it a real shot not wanting to give up too soon but I couldn't. Probably a great product for people with normal skin but sensitive skin users like myself maybe should try something else

Not for me

I didn't care for the smell. I found the product hard to use, in terms of its consistency. Worst of all, it left a black oily film on my skin.

I've used this for years.

Honestly, I love this product. I use it exclusively for a face exfoliant two to three times a week. The best way to use this product is to use it before washing your face or body or else you will have dark residue on your skin. The benefits outweigh the cons in this situation though as it keeps my acne prone skin clear.
