I'm allergic to something in most drugstore toothpaste that causes the mucous membranes inside my mouth to get slimy and slough off after brushing my teeth. Think spitting out slimy sheets of skin off the inside of your cheeks after you've brushed. With some brands it's bad enough that my tongue burns and gets red. I've switched to tooth powders and brands with fewer additives, spoken with dentists, but haven't pinpointed the exact ingredient causing the reaction. Figured Lush would be safe, but I used Dirty Toothy Tabs twice and had the same problem. I've never had an allergy or adverse reaction with a Lush product and the ingredient list in Toothy Tabs is so limited, I never expected to have a problem. Still, I could see these being useful for camping and travel especially, but not if you have mouth sensitivity.

I have been using these tabs for over a year. I tried them originally because I wanted to get away from the waste of a toothpaste tube. I love how clean they make my mouth feel and at my last dental check-up, I had less build-up than when using traditional toothpaste!! My hygienist was skeptical when I told her about them, but was really surprised by how nice my teeth were. I often split them in half - they make quite a mouthful - and wish they would stay *in stock*

These are really easy to use and take with you anywhere for a quick clean. Great for trips and they do leave your mouth feeling fresh! However, it's very difficult to get it all out of your mouth, even after rising 3-4 times. Many times after using these the night before, a bunch of skin would slough out of my mouth, peeled off from the inside of my cheek or lip. Very useful and easy to bring anywhere, but be careful.

I liked this a lot. I wanted to try more eco-friendly toothpaste options and I thought this flavor would be a good start. It made my mouth feel super clean.

I tried this for the first time today. This has a better texture than other tablets I've tried, and it really made my mouth feel fresh. But the flavor is heinous. While I was brushing, I was wondering how many more tablets were in the bottle because I didn't want to keep using it. Maybe I'll get used to it though? My husband spit his out because it was too salty. I didn't taste any salt at all, so there may be variation between tablets.

I tried it for the first time today and I do have to say my mouth does feel fresh but man was it weird! As soon as you bite down you get a tingly feeling near your tongue as you brush. It does the job well and I'll keep using it but a fun fact to note!

Love this toothy, since i start using it, my sensitivity disappeared, I have whiter teeth, and No cavities. I'm never going back to commercial brand tooth paste

This products idea is great! It's similar to Bite and is eco friendly and has less packaging than a Tooth Paste tube. The only thing I'm iffy about is the flavor. I noticed in my batch it's very inconsistent. Some days it tastes very very salty and other times it's just the spearmint flavor. Me and my partner brush our teeth together daily, but for our first few times trying it out we noticed it's VERY sudsy. We compromised by biting half and giving the other that separate half or placing it back in the container. The container is the saddest part of the use as well. Although it is cost efficient and has lasted me quite a while (it helps that they're in half too) but the container is a plastic bottle. I don't personally think that there's any way I can reuse this specific bottle again in any way and I don't wish to. I wish that their was biodegradable refills similarly to Bite (which I have yet to try). I still am using this product but I don't think I will be rebuying due to the flavor. I've noticed the product doesn't keep my mouth very refreshed afterwards either. I'm sure other people have better luck with this product and it isn't that bad, it's just not for me.

I started using these tablets a long time ago. Back then, you could buy them in a tiny cardboard box. It was fantastic because cardboard is easy to recycle. since a few years, they swapped the cardboard for a tiny plastic bottle. the bottle is cute, but plastic is definitely harder to recycle (and causes pollution when producing it) and they are not of the bottles that Lush can take back like the black plastic containers they reuse! As for the product itself: it is nice. I really like them. I have not try all of the flavours but Dirty is my favourite so far because it is just mint. You can't go wrong with mint!
