Eh

Ohio | 23 days ago

I was expecting this to be earthy and herbal, and am disappointed I bought it blind. My boyfriend's review: it just smells like a candle. It starts with a sharp overpowering sweet/sour resin smell, and mellows out to more of a pine & Christmas smell - but it doesn't have the same warmth, or the muskiness of a men's cologne. It reminds me of Pottery Barn or Pier One for some reason, but in a new-furniture and cheap candles kind of way. It does last longer than the more floral solids I bought, and works well as a sort of deodorant perfume (on unshaved pits).

Sickly sweet

I took a chance on this one, thinking it would be similar to Lord of Misrule. It is not similiar. I'm considering returning it, or mixing it with other perfume or essential oil to balance the intense sweet odor.

Overly Sweet, but Not Bad

Virginia | 1 month ago

This is an interesting product. I wanted a scent that was a little earthy but not musky and this sounded like it fit the bill. Maybe it's the way it interacts with my body chemistry, but I legit smell like cotton candy when I have it on. I love how long-lasting it is, but I definitely want to try some of the other Lush solid perfume scents to see if I find one that's a better match to what I'm looking for.

Not Earthy. Very sweet.

This is the second fragrance I have purchased From Lush, and both disappointed me. This one is overpoweringly sweet with very little nuance. My husband said, "you smell like a yankee candle," and that pretty much nails the fragrance. I was hoping for deeper forest notes to balance the sweet ones. It's just syrup. I'm bummed.

This scent makes me so happy & soothed

I am a forest lover from the PNW and some of my favorite scents come from the rain forests...all the various coniferous trees, earthy mosses, spongy soft and rich dirt from all the forest things that turn into soil. There is a specific magical scent that comes from the sun hitting fir trees that is sweet, almost like warm vanilla. In late summer/early fall, the scent of berries swirls & mixes with fir trees and dying leaves that is delicious. Having said all that, this scent somehow captures all of the above and I can't tell you how happy I am to have stumbled upon this! I would be forever grateful if this line continues as a perfume and morphs into Lush's other products like soaps, lotions, body conditioners, bath bombs...anything....please!

Best Perfume

I was looking for a spicy-sweet perfume and this was recommended to me by one of the employees. Fast forward 1.5 years, and I still absolutely love it! Not only does a little go a long way (which makes the container last forever), but it also is great for traveling since it's a solid perfume and small, and I've gotten many compliments on how I smell. If you pair it with the Olive Branch body soap, you'll smell like incense the entire day :)

First perfume purchase and absolutely in love

Detroit | 1 year ago

My best friend works at Lush and had been telling me to purchase this for years. Of course it was the first she sampled but she entertained me and sampled the rest. By far this was the most desirable. The smell is deep, warm and the notes of grapefruit bring it all together. Can't wait to get the full size.

I bought this online without testing first, and I wish I had tested. To me, and with my body chemistry, this perfume smelled like a particular Japanese restaurant I used to go to frequently. I think the spiciness really reminds me of pickled ginger... It's not a bad smell. But I never reach for it in my collection, because the scent is very overpowering. It's strong and has a lot of lasting power, which would be good if you liked the scent on you. Just test this one before you buy.

Fav scent ever

I love this scent so much in the solid form. I used to use karma which I feel is similar but much sweeter. Rentless has become my favorite scent and I use it every day.

sweetly satisfying

st louis, mo | 1 year ago

i've been reintroducing myself to scented products after working in a clean room for some time. this is the first perfume i've bought in seven years and it's perfect for me. there's a sweet smokiness to it, and it's fairly well balanced as far as scent complexity goes. i put it on about four hours ago and it hasn't faded. be sparing with it though! i can tell a little goes a long way.
