Who would have thought that this bar would work for thick curly hair almost to my waist?!? But it totally does! No more huge bottles of conditioner to lug around. I took some getting used to but it makes my curls spring to life. It works best if I rub the bar with a chunk or hair between my hands, and just do that till it's all in, then gently brush it through while wet. Love it!

I love American Cream, so when I found out they improved the conditioner bar in its scent I was thrilled. However after less than a week my hair has never been more dry or frizzy. Pro: smells lovely Pink Con: hair feels dry and unmanageable like straw My bathtub needs to be scrubbed of the pink each time I use it

Terrible conditioner bar

I love Lush shampoo bars, but this conditioner bar is absolutely a no-go. The gal in the store said this bar acts the most like traditional bottled conditioner, but it is terrible! This makes my hair so dry, and the bar coats it with so much residue unless I rinse for ages, which then dries it out even more. I really tried to get used to it, but after a few months I had to give up and go back to a conditioner bar I bought at a local shop. I would not recommend this at all.

Eh, it works?

I was so excited for the milkshake smell of my dreams that the description talked about, but in reality, I can't really smell anything on this bar. The bar itself is a bit tricky. It doesn't lather the way a shampoo bar does. I just kinda slid it around in my hand and my hair until the tangles came out then called it a day. Overall, could be better, could be worse. I'd be curious to see if other Lush Conditioner bars work better. Either way, I'll still probably stick with the naked bars because I like how environmentally conscious they are and that they are easy to travel with.

A package free solution for swimmers

California | 2 months ago

I am a competitive swimmer and was looking for a package-free product that keeps my hair healthy with a lot of chlorine exposure resulting in it being super dried out. This was the perfect solution, it leaves my hair incredibly soft and as a bonus smell really good. I pair this with jumping juniper shampoo bar. I used the old shampoo bars and this is a major improvement.

Love it

I rub it between my hands a little and then run my hands through my hair. I then take the bar and run it over my hair strands and ends. I never condition first, I always have been In the shower, washed my face, washed my hair, and then I condition. So that means that the shampoo is usually moist by the time I get to using it. I have had no problems this way so I must say that these other people just don't know how to use this bar. Doing it how I do it ensured that my thick hair gets conditioned, but it is possible to use too much of it or not rinse it all out thoroughly enough. Never have a problem with getting product from the bar. Best conditioning bar by lush so far.

I've been using this product for 2/3 months with the "coconut ricecake" solid shampoo and at the beginning I was happy about it. After a month, however, I noticed that my hair became very dry, especially in the ends of the hair and my curls are less defined. I am sorry because I like the concept and the scent of the conditioner very much.

Love the shampoo bar hate the conditioner bar

I want to love this and have tried two different types, but I just can't. This one leaves my hair with a terrible texture and I can barely get my fingers through it. For someone that only washes their hair twice a week, it's really disappointing to have to wash it again.

I want to like it but...

I have sensitive scalp that can easily get irritated and then it flakes and itches. However, for travelling solid products make a lot of sense so I have been trying to find solid shampoo bars and conditioner bars that can work for me. I really like the results of the american cream solid conditioner but every time I use it I end up with inflammed, angry scalp - not sure if it is the fragrance or the actual ingredients. Conditioners usually leave some residue on your hair (ie. the conditioning aspect) but the inclusion of potentially irritating fragrance that is carried by the conditioning ingredient.. not a good thing.
