So far good, but not magical

star-star-filled star-star-filled star-star-filled star-star-filled star-star-empty

Pittsburgh, PA | 9 days ago

I bought both this hair mask as well as the Jasmine and Henna one, and so far I think I like this one better. I have used this one 3 times so far, once a week. I have pretty long hair, the length falls to maybe 3-4 inches above my butt. I think I probably only have enough left for one more use, maybe 2, so it is pretty expensive, but it has great ingredients and I feel good about using it on my hair to actually add strength and nutrition back to my hair. As opposed to using some kind of product that smooths your hair with silica ingredients without actually making your hair any healthier. The day after I use this treatment my hair feels nice and soft. I would buy this again because I know there are healthy ingredients in it over other haircare products, but I wouldn't tout it as some magical thing that is a must-buy

I wanted to hate it, but I don't.

After opening the jar and getting a whiff of the overpowering yeasty and far too overripe banana gone bad smell I wanted to hate this product. I wanted it to do nothing for my hair. I wanted to be able to try it say "oh well" and throw it away never to smell it again. Then it went and worked wonders. My husband said it's the best hair day I've had in months. He also said I smelled like a piece of banana bread left in the sun too long, but it was nothing a little R&B couldn't cover up with its glorious scent. So here I am subjecting myself to banana hell once a week and just making sure I go a little heavy on the perfume those days and my hair looks lovely!

The effects are immediate

I have dry hair from years of hair coloring. I use H'Suan Wen Hua once per week on my hair. The smell is pleasant; it is not floral or fruity or citrusy------ can't describe it. The effects which are soft and tameable are immediate. It only lasts for a few days which is what any hair treatment would do. Bottomline: I love this stuff and will continue to use it.

I used this once a week for 4 weeks (I have long hair, that's all the container lasted me). I didn't love the smell, but my frizzy split ends look a lot better!

Amazing hair treatment!!

I'm amazed at what this hair treatment does for my long fine hair! It's so silky soft after using and my hair is glossy and beautiful. Smells like a ginger snap cookie or a pumpkin spice latte. I put it on my dry hair starting at the roots down to the tips. I leave on for 20-60 minutes before I want to shower. Washed out easily with fairly traded honey shampoo and flowed up with candy rain conditioner. My hair has never looked better. This is now a weekly treatment for me and one of my favorite lush products

Absolutely Adore

I love this hair mask. I have long wavy hair, and it helps with my dullness and frizz. It smells like banana bread and molasses to me and I find it heavenly, but I can see how it can be an off-putting smell for others as it is a very potent scent. I use it three times a week and wash it out with shampoo (Daddy-o or Rehab) and I find after about a month it has amplified the effects of my washing routine. Please never discontinue this product it has become a HG in my collection!!

Overpriced and ineffective product

I bought this product to nourish my hair and control my frizz. As much as I wanted to love this product as it is very pricy, I have not noticed any improvement after using it for almost 2 months.

Will never look for another deep conditioner

I have spent way too much money over the years on high end products to tame and control frizzy, fine, color damaged hair. None of them worked. I should have known Lush would offer the miracle I have been searching for. This stuff makes my hair soft and smooth like nothing I have ever experienced. My hair is conditioned like it was before I started coloring. I agree with others about the scent, to me it is more of a strong banana/wheat smell, it isn't awful, just takes a little getting used to, but Dear Lush...don't change a thing...it's perfect...thank you...you guys are brilliant!

HATE SULFATes

star-star-filled star-star-filled star-star-filled star-star-filled star-star-empty

Boston | 1 month ago

Sulfates are a dangerous chemical that when used in labs are handled so carefully to not touch or burn the skin. In small amounts, it will slowly deteriorate the integrity of the hair. This product should've removed sulfates instead of eggs. Look out for sodium lauryl sulfate in all lush products! They use it far too often!

Honest my favorite hair mask. I have thin, silky straight hair that I'm growing long. I always worry about things being too greasy or heavy, or not being nourishing enough. This balances that thin line PERFECTLY. Will never not repurchase. Although I have to say I miss the formula that used eggwhites.
