How to Use

1. Place your treatment in a heatproof container and boil some water in a kettle. 2. Slowly add several ounces of boiling-hot water to the solid treatment and stir gently using the wooden stick. Take your time, adding water as needed, and allowing the product to thicken until you're left with an empty stick and a rich, creamy treatment. This should take around five minutes. 3. When it's cool enough to touch, apply to dry hair and leave for around 20 minutes to allow the ingredients to get to work replenishing your hair. Shampoo out and admire your luscious locks!

Made too much? Keep your mix for conditioning top-ups for up to four weeks.

Bubble gum

New York, NY | 12 days ago

I follwed the instructions but i think it was not enouth. The mixing looks like a bubble gum and its too hard to apply on the hair. Also to take it off i took 2 or 3 days washing it. But after that i felt my hair shiny and nourished, but on the day my hair and my bathroom was a messy! I still have this bubblegum on my clothes! Probably i will not use this one again.

Watched the video as it was my first hair mask from lush. Followed them EXACTLY and was left crying in a cold shower after an hour of not being able to wash it out of my hair. Had to throw away my shower curtain as it stuck to that as well. I am confused that with so manny negative reviews this is still being sold. I have thin hair to begin with and this took off more precious hair that I couldn't spare to lose.

Made My Hair Amazingly Soft and Full

Austin, Texas | 16 days ago

I have short, course silver hair. This product made it more full, shiny and soft than anything I have ever used! I was super skeptical at first because it's texture is like sticky jello. It also is hard to wash out of your hair and kind of makes a mess in the shower. I only used about a fourth of it on my hair, and saved the rest thinking I might be able to use it again, but I couldn't. It turned into a consistency like kid's "slime", so I had to dispose of it, which felt really wasteful.

DO. NOT. BUY. It's just glue.

Charleston | 16 days ago

Horrible gummy glue texture. I had to wash my hair three times to cut through the glue shell on my head and I still have flecks in my hair. Absolutely will not buy again. Unless I need to build a science project or mortar a brick house.

I will use again!

I have fine, 2b hair down to my bellybutton. I followed another reviewers tip & added more water than usual- so the consistency was more soup-like as opposed to a paste. It smells really good, but it DOES feel really gluey when you apply it. (Not a fan of the texture) I left it in for 20 minutes, then washed it out with a sulfate-free liquid shampoo & a shampoo brush, then conditioned as usual. My hair looks and smells really nice! But yes, it does feel weird in your hair when you apply it.

Terrible! Sticky!

Toronto | 23 days ago

When you mix this with water it turns into GLUE. It's like trying to put BREAD DOUGH in your hair. I washed and conditioned my hair and there are still small pieces everywhere. TERRIBLE

Very happy with the Hot oil!!!

Clover, SC | 23 days ago

I am really glad that I did not read the reviews before buying the spicy hot oil treatment, because the negative reviews have very convincing arguments. This is my first time using this product, and on the first try, I am really happy with the results. Beside following LUSH instructions on how to use it, I applied the treatment with my hair coloring brush starting with the roots, then I covered my hair with a shower cap for two hours. The spicy hot oil treatment is easy to prepare and to wash off, and leaves a great smell of cinnamon. I will keep buying this amazing spicy hot oil treatment. The tricky part is do not apply the treatment all at once.

Lush's Only Bad Product

Oshawa | 24 days ago

I should have read the review before purchasing. It was easy enough to mix, lather and rinse out, but my mixture had a slight fish smell. You have to really scrub your head to get it out, so my hair wasn't any softer after it dried and there was no scent. I'm only giving 2 stars because it did kind of help with my dry scalp.

It's not New, it's Goo

USA | 28 days ago

Do not put this in your hair! I had a horrible time getting this out. Shampooed with clarifying shampoo, used a scalp brush. Finally on the 4th day (yes it took 4 days of shampooing!) it felt like it was out and I didn't see any more pieces of it in my hair. Then my scalp started breaking out. I now have scabs all over my scalp. I do have to say though, that it did make my hair feel super soft for a few days. I love Lush, but this product missed the mark.

It's a NO for me!

I wish had read the reviews before buying this. It feels like a gummy, waxy substance is on my scalp. I washed my hair thoroughly, twice...there is still residue. I'm reluctant to try another one of these treatments. Deep sign
