Coconut Rice Cake

Easy to use, but flakes of rice and flower stick in your hair and is rather annoying to remove. Hair felt really soft but parts can get sticky from the rice pieces if you don't get it all out.

I've tried almost all the shampoo bars from lush and this one is perfect for my hair! My scalp is very dry but my hair gets super oily to compensate, this helped it balance it out! Cleaned and moisturized just what it needed to! I have long, thick, dense, straight but tangle-prone hair and this was the perfect formula to prevent said tangles!

I was heartbroken when they discontinued I Love Juicy, my shampoo of choice for years. The sample of Coconut Rice Cake I was given has been nice, and certainly better than the Wasabi Shen Kui product or Retread as per how my hair does with continued use. I have oily roots and dry ends prone to breakage. It's not mad curly but more than a slight wave. I need something that can nourish without leaving my scalp with tons of build up. This does the trick, though not 100% as good as I Love Juicy. The smell is very nice. I'm going to try the Juniper Bar, but if that doesn't work this will be my default.

I usually have very frizzy hair that is somewhere between straight and wavy. This shampoo bar makes my hair feel beautiful when it's air dryer or blow dried! I don't even use conditioner 99% of the time and my hair is shiny and soft for DAYS! I will never live without this shampoo bar

I used the product for a month but I had extra extra hair fall during the usage. I love lush products in general but this one is not good for me.

I was using the trichomania bar before trying this. I read other reviews and was skeptical and only bought one bar. I usually get 2 or 3 just to only purchase once for the year. I have shoulder length hair now but had medium to long hair when starting the trichomania shampoo bar. This product feels a little smoother in my hands than the trichomania (I still have one bar left amd compared the texture). So far it works just as well. For reference, my hair dries out easily on the west coast but not at all in the southeast. Humidity is key for me. I would say my hair is normal, with finer strands but thicker amount. My hair tends to have a lot of natural volume. I wash every other day skipping Friday and saturday for a total of 3 washes a week. This bar moisturizes my hair exactly like the trichomania which keeps me from needing conditioner while in a humid environment. I hope for those, like me, looking for the replacement switch try this first. I used to use honey I washed my hair before switching to trichomania before trying this one. Honey I washed my hair is more drying for my hair and less sudsy than the coconut rice cake is. Highly recommend it, especially if you used the trichomania.

I love how this bar doesn't over-lather when using (saves more product in the long run) I have 6 inches of unprocessed hair at the root and my ends are white blonde - this worked wonders for both my natural and processed hair. I've been searching for something balancing but also moisturizing and this is it!

I have fine, straight, oily hair and this worked wonders. The lathers nicely and smells so good. My hair was squeaky clean!

I was recommended by the store rep, i started using this bar for over a month, thinking it will help me improving my hair condition. I started shedding hair like crazy. I stopped using this bar and now i use it as body bar because of its properties of immense hair fall. In hope of not shaving my body..

I've been trying to transition more into low/zero waste so I thought I'd give this a shot. It kind of smells like a really sweet baby powder which I absolutely love. I was really worried because I have 3a/3b hair and thought this might dry it out but it's super gentle and lathers very nicely. I have mild dandruff too and the bits of rice were really nice for that. It also didn't feel like it was shrinking as I used it so it should last a long time. Please never discontinue this product!!!
