I have straight, healthy hair that does well with most shampoos. However, I prefer to use better shampoo/conditioner to keep my hair looking healthy and shiny so I thought I would give this shampoo a try, especially because I love the shampoo bars. But this shampoo was terrible. The first thing I noticed is that it smells terrible, like honey that has gone rotten. And the smell lingers until your hair is fully dry. It also was not moisturizing, at all. I used this with the American Cream shampoo and I could barely get my comb through my after my shower. My hair ended up looking like I had used Suave on it, that's how it felt as well. Except Suave smells way better. If this shampoo doesn't moisturize my healthy hair, I don't know how it helps others. I'm so glad I only bought a small bottle because it went right in the garbage. I didn't even want to pass it along to anyone. Don't waste your money.

My One and Only

Toronto | 15 days ago

Up until buying Fairly Traded Honey, I vacillated between five expensive, salon brand shampoos to deal with my various complaints. I knew I needed something moisturizing, but I have a lot of very fine, straight hair which can make me look like a greaseball if I use anything too rich. My hair is dull, but damaged, so anything too clarifying just sucks the life out of it. Apparently honey was the answer. This shampoo handles everything without weighing my hair down, and smells amazing. I still use my Davine's conditioner, but having one product to replace the five I was using is great for the clutter in my shower and great for my bank account. Did I mention it smells amazing? It's that telltale honey smell, and a hint of geranium oil, which smells floral and herbaceous at once. Please never discontinue this product. I love a lot of Lush stuff, but I would be so bummed to see this one go.

My New Favorite Shampoo!

Seattle, WA | 29 days ago

First of all, I have to say the smell of this shampoo is AMAZING! The blend of rose, bergamot, geranium, and honey is simply gorgeous and I can't get enough of it. If they made a body spray with this smell combination, I would absolutely buy it! Anyway, I initially bought this shampoo for my husband to try since he needs a moisturizing type of shampoo and I don't (I have the opposite problem, oily hair.) That said, Fairly Traded Honey hasn't made my hair too oily at all! In fact, this shampoo has given me just the right amount of volume, softness, and shine! Honestly, I've spent the last few years trying to locate the best shampoo for my hair and have finally found it in Fairly Traded Honey! I hope Lush never discontinues this product, because I am IN LOVE.

Might be my new favorite!

TX | 1 month ago

Of course it smells fabulous; it's Lush! I already use Rehab and Daddy-O (silver and black hair) and bought this one for the sake of variety, based on user reviews. I don't dry my hair; I let it dry by itself because it is waist length and wavy. I don't use conditioners or any sort of styling products. One of the first things I noted is that it takes SUCH a small amount to create a head full of lather, even with this longer hair. It rinses out cleanly; no feeling of residue and I like that part, too. Since my hair takes a while to dry on its own, I usually end up gently twisting it up on the back of my head, held in place with a pair of big bird beak clips so that I can get through my business day without my hair on the back of my neck. At the end of the day when I remove the clips, my hair is still damp in the middle of the twist and the fragrance is released anew; my hair doesn't completely dry until the next morning. That's when I brush it, starting at the bottom, of course. Very few tangles and those few are easy to manage. After even the first use, my hair is much shinier. It is softer and has fewer fly-aways, which is always a good thing. It doesn't affect the waviness of my hair, although it wouldn't matter to me either way. Four uses and I swear my hair is fuller than before. If you're looking for shiny, soft, smooth, fragranced hair that is in better condition than before you shampooed, this would be an excellent choice for you!

Never buying another shampoo again!

salt lake city, utah | 1 month ago

When I first used this it blew all of my other shampoos out of my life - I have never enjoyed the smell of a shampoo so much or get the instant shine and healthy look it brings! I've only been using it for a week and I just love my hair so much more! Its so worth it to try if you're on the fence about it, you won't be disappointed!!

Great for color treated hair

Portland, ME | 1 month ago

I can't say enough about this shampoo. Is it expensive? Sure is. Is it worth it? Every penny! I have wavy/curly color treated hair and this shampoo leaves my hair silky smooth, it smells amazing and my color lasts longer than with some salon shampoos. Ask for a sample in the store, give it a try and join the us on the other side of shampoo heaven!

I have eczema as well as very fine, very thick long hair. This shampoo is the best. It doesn't irritate my skin and it really cleans my hair without drying it out nor leaving it oily! Love, Love, Love it!
