Mimosa Wax

Mimosa trees grow beautiful foliage and fragrant yellow flowers. It's native to Australia where it's cultivated to make oils, absolutes and waxes. Like all floral waxes, mimosa wax is created during the process of making mimosa absolute. The flowers are put through a solvent extraction that creates a waxy substance called concrete. This is then mixed with alcohol to obtain two materials: the absolute and the subtly scented wax.
