Marjoram Oil

Herbaceous and woody scent

The flowering leaves and tops are usually steam-distilled to extract the essential oil. Yellowish in color, we use this aromatic ingredient for its calming properties thanks to a warm, herbaceous fragrance.
Marjoram is a perennial herb with a blend of sweet pine and citrus notes. In some Middle Eastern countries, it's synonymous with oregano. Indigenous to Cyprus and Turkey, this plant has smooth, oblong leaves that develop fine, delicate hairs on top. It's these leaves that are typically cultivated and usually dried for culinary purposes.
