In 2016, the Women’s March was a reaction to a moment, but over time it’s grown into a worldwide movement—one that reaches far beyond a single issue, figure or event.
Now more than ever, we believe that it’s important to make sure diverse voices are heard and amplified as we work to build structures guided by self-determination, dignity and respect.
In 2019, along with marching in the #WomensWave, Lush’s North American CEO Mark Wolverton signed an open letter in the New York Times alongside other CEOs supporting reproductive and abortion rights entitled Don’t Ban Equality. We shut down all manufacturing, office and store operations to walk in the Climate Strike. And we proudly state in all of our stores and on our site that we believe all people should enjoy freedom of movement across the world.
In 2020, we march to continue to reinforce the basic principle that women’s rights are human rights. And that reproductive health rights, immigration rights, climate justice, racial justice and economic justice are all one and the same.
We’ve partnered with the Women’s March in DC and will be out in the streets in our hometowns across the country.
Beyond walking alongside thousands of women, we’re also elevating the important women’s rights work of our Charity Pot partners including She the People. This grassroots organization brings together a national network of women of color—voters, organizers, movement builders and elected leaders—to help transform democracy.
