Lush How It’s Made: Eyeball Bath Bomb

Join Clinton and Jimmy as they show us how to make our festive Halloween fizzer, Eyeball Bath Bomb. Eyeball has a spooky floral fragrance and a bright red center that turns bathwater an eerie orange-pink. We start, as always, with a big bag of baking soda (sodium bicarbonate). This is what gives our bombs their signature fizz. Then we add our cosmetic-grade dyes in shades of red and black to complement the natural white of the baking soda base. Each of the three shades is prepared separately, with the white getting an extra dose of bubbly mix to give Eyeball a creamier, frothier effect in the bath. Next, it’s off to the pressing team where your bath bomb is in good hands. The teams are split into groups of three, with one person pressing the eye’s black pupil, the second person pressing the pupil into the red iris and a final team combining the two into the center of what is now a complete eyeball. Now it’s ready to head to your door, or a store near you! Take a peek at Eyeball: Check out our full collection of bath bombs: Get your eyes on all our limited edition Halloween products: Love Lush?
